If we are closed or doing something like running noisy machinery the answer phone will be on, leave a message and we’ll ring you back. We check messages regularly, except Mondays.
Let us know what you want to order and where you want it delivered if you aren't collecting from our shop. Leave a contact telephone number and/or e-mail address so we can contact you quickly.
Payment. We accept most major debit and credit cards except American Express and Diner’s. Or you can pay by cash or cheque, payable to The Manchester Futon Company.
We ask for a 20% deposit on all goods made to order.
We won’t charge your card until your goods are ready for despatch, except where a 20% deposit is being made on special items. If you have paid by cheque we would normally wait for the cheque to clear before despatching goods.
Delivery Costs. We deliver with our biodiesel van in the Manchester area and charge £5 within 5 miles of the city centre, £10 within 10 miles and £15 within 15 miles.
If we aren’t delivering your order ourselves we use Royal Mail for smaller items and TNT carrier for the big stuff. The cost depends on the weight of your order, smaller packages are typically about £4.50 whilst a double futon would be about £25.00.
Delivery Times. We usually despatch stock items within 5 days of ordering. Larger items such as mattresses and futons are made to order and usually take 10-14 days. Beds usually take 21 days. We do our best to accommodate any deadlines! We try to keep most items in stock, due to the nature of our goods all sorts of factors can affect supply but we will always be able to give you an estimate of expected delivery time.
Returning An Item. We are proud of our products and want you to be happy with everything you buy from us. If you want to return something, for any reason, you can do so within 28 days of receipt provided the item is unused, in perfect condition and with the original packaging. This does not affect your statutory rights. We can either exchange the item or give you a credit or refund. We recommend you get a proof of posting from the post office when you send the parcel back. Except where the item is faulty, you will be responsible for the cost of the return carriage and the original carriage. We suggest goods are returned by registered post as we cannot refund goods lost during return transit. Please note that custom made items or special orders cannot be returned unless faulty or at our discretion. Just let us know as soon as possible if you have a problem.
Please return goods to Dojo EcoShop, 38 Mason Street, Manchester, M4 5EZ and include your delivery note. Tell us why you weren’t satisfied with the item so we can make sure it doesn’t happen again.
Product Specifications. Ask us if you are not sure of a product’s specification, size, colour etc. Photos may not accurately represent exact shades and textures. The handmade nature of many of our goods means that slight variations can occur. For some items we can sent out samples, such as small samples of mattress filling or fabric so that you can check colours and test for sensitivity.
Personal Information. We will never pass your details on to other people.
Prices. Our prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) and may be subject to change without notice.
Packaging. We reuse or recycle all packaging that comes in to us, which means that your parcel could arrive in ‘disguise’. It also means that not all the packaging we use is degradable so please pass any plastics on for recycling. All the packaging we use in our shop is recycled or degradable.
