Welsh Wool Throws
We were really pleased to find these special wool throws, and quite pleased to find we had taken the right turning as we drove our van down the long, bumpy track that leads to the farm where we met the sheep whose fleeces were used to make them! The wool comes from a flock of mixed rare breed sheep on a hill farm in Mid Wales. The huge variety of natural colours means that every throw is different and no dyeing processes are used. The sheep are reared organically and treated with homeopathic remedies. After shearing the wool travels just 25 miles to a local spinning mill, and then on to a local weaver. The throws are beautifully soft and finished really nicely with properly turned fringes.
