Welcome to Dojo Eco
We make a core range of standard size mattresses and futons and we often work on custom projects for boats, vans, yurts, cabins, shepherds huts and many more interesting and challenging requests!
We measure, cut, stitch, roll, stuff and smooth, carefully building our products piece by piece and layer by layer. We finish with traditional cotton tapes and wool washers to hand tuft every mattress and futon so that it is made to last. Fuelled by mugs of tea and the solar panels on our workshop roof soaking up the sunshine.
More about USWe use organic cotton fabric woven in Lancashire in a tough herringbone pattern and organic British wool, felted to our specification in Yorkshire. Our 100% natural latex is tapped from the sap of trees grown in organic plantations in Sri Lanka, it is then frothed and baked for us into wonderfully springy blocks. We combine the best properties of all of these natural materials to make mattresses and futons that are comfortable, supportive, long lasting, environmentally sound and designed to give you the best night’s sleep.
We know our products inside out and are completely transparent about what they contain and how they are made. We don’t use glues, finishes, treatments, plastics or chemical fire retardants.
